Legacy stuffing recipe from our sweet mother Mama. This recipe include Gabe's Original and Mama's Mediterranean Spices as a fabulous flavor enhancement! Your guests and family will be fighting over the leftovers!


  • Gabe's Original Dressing & Marinade Spices packet
  • Mama's Mediterranean Spices packet
  • Mrs. Cubbison's Traditional Cube Stuffing Mix (10-12 ounce box)
  • Butter (1-2 sticks unsalted)
  • Celery stalks - diced
  • Chicken Broth
  • Large dry white, red or yellow onion
  • Ground sausage (can sub ground turkey, or other protein)
  • Eggs (1-2)
  • Pomegranate (1-2)


  1. Cook sausage ahead of time. Add diced onion to the meat mixture. Drain, cool and put mixture into large (oversized) mixing bowl
  2. Peel and separate pods of one large pomegranate (set aside)
  3. Stir packets of Gabe's Original and Mama's Mediterranean well to get all spices mixed
  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  5. Spray a 9" x 13" (3 quart) sauce pan
  6. Add all following ingredients to the mixing bowl
  7. Mrs. Cubbison's box contents
  8. Diced celery (at least 1 cup)
  9. Add melted butter (1/2 cup/1 stick)
  10. Add 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  11. Add pomegranate (may hold and add until right before serving)
  12. Add 3 tablespoons Gabe's Original Dressing & Marinade Spices
  13. Add 2 teaspoons Mama's Mediterranean Spices
  14. Mix well
  15. Pour into pan, cover with foil
  16. Bake covered for 40 minutes. Uncover for 15 minutes

You can easily double the recipe (I do!).

Add more of any ingredients including onion, celery, pomegranate and most of all Gabe's and Mama's!

If you prefer, add the pomegranates after cooking! Or add more!

Stuffing is good any time of year! Great comfort food.

Reheats and freezes well.
